COVID-19 Lockdown Day 16

APRIL 11, 2020 – Having gotten to bed after 1 it is no surprise we slept in. Anything after 7 is sleeping in for us, because usually we have three husky noses poking at us and one is vocal too. This morning, we woke before they did.

Breakfast was courtesy the “Ninja Air Fryer” and hubby’s desire to actually cook. Better than another bowl of cereal.

Today, since no one has a job to report to, we will all pitch in and get typical housework things done. Husky debris has somewhat calmed, thanks to the days of brushing and grooming by the youngest. Atleast we can run the vac and not have to wait on conference calls to end.

While scanning through my social media today, notice I only seem to do that in the mornings? Anyway, scanning I happened upon a few things I found interesting. Possible fuel for the first podcast episode? Hmmm…

This “stay at home” movement has had my blood boiling a few times. Society, again, does what they want and here we are lockdown til April 30.  All this fuss about “not being able to go to church for Easter services”…I mean come on folks!! It is a pandemic!  OK..gonna save this for another time because I can’t go there.

Today was spent working in the garage helping mostly to replace an exhaust system.  Eating “lunch” around 4:30 and back at it until dark.  Felt good outside.  Noticed neighbors have some construction on a back deck going on.  Again, we are suppose to be social distancing and they have extra people over, maybe family, dunno…either way they have been in and out back and forth to get supplies most of the day.

OH… fellow Kentuckians! Great news.  Got my first unemployment check finally.  Strange beause I was checking all day yesterday and it showed up today.  Oh well…just in time to pay a few bills.  We are doing our best to NOT take advantage of some of the generous payment terms on things.  I did notice that our water bill does not show a late fee, that is good. I mean I usually pay it late anyway so they have gotten a lot of extra fees for nothing from me over the years.

Turning in early today – tomorrow is final push for exhaust job.  It was suppose to be the day we leave for our vacation, which has now been pushed til May.  The first time in many, many years we plan and can afford a vacation and a pandemic happens.  People wonder why I never make plans!
