APRIL 10, 2020 – WOW!! What a day!!! I was up and going before 10am. Like the previous 5 days, I started the day with a bowl of cereal. When done, I perused my social media and was contemplating the sink full of dishes, when I heard an exclamation from the deeper room of the house, the bathroom. Of course, thinking someone had fallen, myself and the eldest made our way towards the noise and was met in the hallway. Seems a little field mouse had found it’s way into the bathroom via a grate on the whirlpool tub. It was startled and ran from the trash back into the vent. Once the laughter stopped, we set the glue trap under the house where the little guy was bound to be scurrying around. I returned to the kitchen and there the sink full of dishes were still waiting. So, I dove in and washed them. Why is it that even with a dishwasher no one else will wash the dishes? This seems to be my first chore of the morning. Of course, the morning chore of vacuuming husky debris awaited me, also. That chore has to be done around the one person still working during this pandemic. When conference calls end, we can crank up the vac and rumble through the kitchen. Better hurry though, because the next conference call will start soon.
Once I did all I could near the home office and I realize the ongoing conference call is going to be a while, I had to make a choice. I either make my way to the garage to tend to some cleaning or organizing or I make my way to my craft room.
Today, I made my way to the garage for some more cleaning. I worked on some projects that needed my attention. It was cool out but the sun felt good. A trash can was filled quickly. I was deep into many things when I realized I was suppose to do my weekly online CorelDraw lesson. Oh well, I have a few more days…not like I’m going to need the skill set right now. I did listen to a few podcasts on Photoshop and Lightroom and before long I had skipped lunch. Time sure flies when having fun! I texted with two coworkers about odds and ends. Nothing about work – just passing the time and staying in touch. I heard from my best friend a million miles away. A quick “how are ya” exchange.
Lunch was late and quick, I had a sudden burst of creativity. I made my way back to the craft room where I FINALLY put together the shirt that hubby planted the idea for. After the over exposure of my screens that I now have to replace, I decided to heat press them. I have a limited amount of HTV (heat transfer vinyl) so I had to make it work. I had two cutters going and got this made pretty quickly. Hubby was happy! Now, I gotta order material and make another one or two or three.
I used HTV foil for the red and SISER EasyWeed HTV for the rest. Thank you Brilliant Vinyl for quick shipment! Gotta order bigger rolls now.
Once that burst of creativity was accomplished, I turned to editing photos with my newly learned skills in Photoshop. Didn’t do too bad but it got boring. So I jumped onto another project….
Today, I FINALLY did something I have talked about doing for a long time. I posted my FIRST EVER podcast on anchor.fm!

Remember the “facelift” I did? Well, this was part of the reason why I did it.
I figured that maybe it was time I brought this blog to life! I hope I can keep it up, it is time consuming. I have my eldest working on some audio as my sound engineer – not holding my breath. I also have to work on a few other things to get the recording better. All in all, I think I did pretty good. Give it a listen…give input…. or not. I’m not even sure of when I’ll do the official first episode or what it will be about. Being as I am pretty much cut off from society, which is what I depend on for the bulk of my material, it could be a while.
