APRIL 2, 2020 – Today was an okay day. Having stayed up until after 3am I slept in a bit. Fortunately, we were not dealing with neighbor ringing doorbell. Both the ‘kids’ were gone, one to care for a horse the other to help grandparents. My agenda was simple…pretty much the same. I had one thing I HAD to do and it required me going out for the first time in a week. I was going to drop by work to use some software on my computer while watching a webinar I had subscribed to. Once I had clearance to go, I made a b-line to the office from home and I methodically entered the building avoiding touching anything I didn’t have to touch. A hand full of others were leaving after having picked up various things, we exchanged pleasantries from a distance and I kept moving. I got through my lesson, ran a quick clean of the VersaCAMM printer, which I had forgotten to do a week prior then talked briefly to one or two people, again from a distance. Made my way back out touching only ONE door and I had a t-shirt rag in my hand for that purpose. Sad when you have to think about things like that because I am generally not afraid of ‘germs’.
I made the b-line home and on my way I decided I would volunteer to ride to the farm for the afternoon feeding. I didn’t plan to get out, no need to….just along for the ride, company and a moment in the wind.
Off and on the empty time was filled doing some podcast research, dealing/debating with idiots on social media posting their desire/need to get out and take on an adventure in the back country woods off-roading. Of course, I was pretty pissed off because this is exactly why Kentucky was given a 30 day travel restriction – idiots just can’t seem to understand what QUARANTINE means!!!! I mean damn! What part of this situation is hard to understand? A friend posted this on Facebook (mainly so that when it popped up in their historical feed they would have a recollection of it), but it fits:

One day it will show up in my memory feed, and it will be a yearly reminder that LIFE IS PRECIOUS and not to take the things we dearly love for granted…. hugs, social interaction – like the real kind verses they Zoom kind, sitting in a restaurant, or in a coffee shop with a friend or family, Sunday church, Friday night family night!
We truly have so much!
Be thankful. Be grateful.
Be kind to each other – love one another – support everyone. We are all one! ❤️ stop the division and the blaming. Seek the good! Be the good! Love well (on Zoom, or in person when we can gather together again).
Copy and share.
Anyway, I enjoyed my outing that was VERY VERY isolated. I returned to my home to another home DIY project marked off the list, barn doors for office area. Walked the dogs and did more research on podcasting and wrote this blog.
Now, I am calling this the end of another day…..
