So, I tend to talk a lot about “bullies”, “society”band “lack of common sense”. Why stop now? Well I’m glad you and I agree on something.
Having been a coach and parent of active kids, I receive emails from our local parks & rec department from time to time.
This one has me most upset.
Why? The first ad gets my goat! When did it become “legal” or “acceptable” for ANYONE to use city/county facilities for profit!!!? As conceal carry instructors for many years, my husband and I were told we could not utilize these facilities, including the Coolidge building because it was “against the rules to do anything for profit using city/county facilities”. To add fuel to this fire, this particular building is FEET from our county wide school bus garage (they actually share a parking lot) – last I heard “firearms were not allowed on school property”.
Adding insult to injury, this particular instructor also violates FCC rules by advertising these classes via amateur radio…something my husband recently reminded me he had heard one day.
Why is it okay for this to happen?
There are NO facilities in Jessamine County to have large gatherings, hold classes like this or even have community events. So if it is NOW allowed why aren’t more people given the opportunity to contribute and benefit as well.
