Well…congrats East Jessamine….kids have missed 4 more days of school because of the frigid temps. Would have been a PERFECT time for kids to focus on Edgenuity….if it wasn’t LOCKED. Assessments, locked. Lessons, locked.
I don’t understand. Kids are being held responsible for grades….punished even…yet, who’s responsible for the Edgenuity problems? Was told tonight of even MORE parents upset over grading and Edgenuity. Some cannot believe a kid goes from an B in a class to F just because of Edgenuity? Others upset because of drastic and inconsistent weight values on Edgenuity. Others upset because teachers not putting grades in for Edgenuity. WAIT? Grades in? Wasn’t that suppose to be done like a week (plus two days) a go?? I know I checked my kids’ grades and there was an “N” for one class – as if there had been NO Edgenuity work done…yet, I checked Edgenuity and targets have been met…there’s even a grade!!!!
I want this program to GO AWAY!!! As I’ve said…issue books. How about this old technology that works…..put a pencil in students’ hands!! Teachers stay away from copiers. Use those smart boards. Use those wipe-off markers. Use anything BUT Edgenuity.
Rant over….gonna let the kids enjoy another day off………
