Here we are 4:30pm after a full school day and this “remarkable” tool called Edgenuity is still not unlocked. Going on 4 weeks now. Explain to me HOW a child an realistically advance or learn, if the staff are not doing THEIR job? The use of technology in public schools is only as efficient as the administrators. To top this off, the child was so worried about their grade & feared having to repeat the course, they visited the counselor today. The counselor pointed out the lock status was holding the student back from a potential letter grade or two above their current grade. The teacher for this SAME class had already emailed me this morning indicating that the grades were not all entered, including Edgenuity; therefore I should wait until at least Wednesday before worrying about grades.
I ask you…if this is the case….then why is my child being flagged “ineligible” for school activities? If the teachers receive no punishment for their behavior, why do we punish the child?
Enough is Enough!!! REMOVE EDGENUITY FROM THE HANDS OF EAST JESSAMINE HIGH SCHOOL!!!
